FAW - 3 Day First Aid at Work Course
First Aid At Work training courses aim to train employes up to the standard required by the HSE for the purpose of the Health & Safety First Aid regulations 1981.
Who should attend?
Nominated Emergency First aid providers, or anyone wanting to keep their first aid skills current.
Course content
On completion of the course, candidates will be able to demonstrate knowledge & skills from the First Aid training manual including:
- The aims & priorities of First Aid - Chain of survival
- Site survey - Basic life support - Poisoning
- Burns & scalds - Casualty examination - Stroke
- Head injuries - Communication & delegation
- Compression - Wounds & bleeding - Record keeping
- Bone & muscle injuries - Shock - Unconscious casualties
- Angina/Heart Attack - Recovery position - Epilepsy
- Diabetes - Spinal injuries - Control of bleeding
Course duration
This course is a 3 day course, ensuring that delegates have time to fully understand the sylabus taught to them, and practice fully the techniques covered.
